Musculature Study

Here are four sketches I've drawn from reference displaying my study on muscular poses.

Muscular Chest Pose

Here I've tried to produce a sketch without adding tone and definition to define it, but by using simple marks to give it shape.

Muscular Back Pose

 

​A sketch I've produced from a reference image shown below to enhance my drawing ability.

I used ball point pen on white A4 paper.

Older Muscular Pose

Here I'm studying the effects muscles have on an older person, i've tried to accentuate how the veins are more prominent and how the skin molds round the muscles more compared to my sketches above.

Muscular Side Pose

Here I've tried to use as little as possible marks and tones to create a anatomically correct sketch. I find this way of working is best for when creating poses and turntable views used as reference in modelling.
