Dragon Fruit Animation
Created in Autodesk Maya and Adobe Photoshop.
All Polys are quads, Box modeled, UV unwrapped, correct Normals, correct naming in Outliner, 2 texture maps, 4 spot lights.
In this animation I've tried to portray two dragon fruits that simulate life, the story being that one of the dragon fruits awakes unaware of its surroundings, to be surprised seeing its companion lying injured on the chopping board. Resulting in it trying to comfort the hurt companion.

I originally drew the side view from a picture I had seen as well as implementing features from an actual dragon fruit I'd bought the day before. Although the front and bottom views were my own depictions of how I thought the side view drawing would look from the those angles.

This texture sheet is of my Dragon fruit, I managed to use the clone stamp tool in Photoshop to get the base colours down (reds and oranges) using a picture of an apple. Later I added the texture to the protrusions using similar colours and images to make it how it should look and also by warping the textures to fit the UV layout.
